Baglogs: Upper Hall:

Baglog: Paul Caban (+49=1032)

Easily the quietest year bagging for a fair time. I did have a lovely evening for my 1000th, Beinn an t-Sidhein in Strathyre, accompanied by Alison Wilson and Janet Clark, both of this parish, and my occasional co-bagger Brad, together with a welcome excess of cake. Later in the year we had a re-run for Janet's entry into the Hall. In between, apart from an exceptionally pleasant week on Mull in May, it was mostly solitary bags, snatched after (or sometimes before) an orienteering event. Nicest mountain of the year was Black Combe (34D) - it may be only a hill to some, but it certainly has aspirations to something bigger. The views go on forever, and I can certainly understand it being Harry Griffin's choice for his favourite Lake District hill.
