Baglogs: Upper Hall:

Baglog: Gordon Ingall (+45=1083)

Not a big bag this year, but two milestones were achieved, with the Grahams in July (Ben Cleuch) and the English and Welsh Hewitts in June (Windy Gyle) or August (Birks Fell - just in case). No more completions in the offing now, unless Dave Hewitt lures me up my last three Munros (all on Skye). I plan to be back on the bigger hills again for repeats, plus new Corbett and Graham Tops, as a framework for Scottish trips, as well as bagging new smaller hills. I really enjoyed that mix last year, with a snowy day in late May on the Fannichs and a perfect day in late August on Braeriach.

This year seemed a little smoother than 2005, with no ignominious retreats, impassable river crossings or just plain bad route selection. However, an unexpected opportunity over Christmas led to a very fortunate bag on Mochrum Fell (27C) in murky conditions, with a borrowed map and no navigational aids. Not recommended.
