Baglogs: Upper Hall:

Baglog: Peter Collins (+77=1295)

Five trips to Scotland and about ten weeks walking; slow going compared with Andrew Tibbetts' magnificent efforts in 2006, but over 100 for the year if I include more than 40 re-ascents of Worcestershire Beacon. Highlights:

Worst hills were Beinn Donachain (3C) with water everywhere - it took longer to get down on the stalkers' 'path' than it did to get up; Beinn a'Chuirn (3C) with the last two miles of over-the-ankle sludge; the horrors of Vietnam-like jungle growth hacking a way up Carn Fiaclach (11B) - there must be an easier way than the direct ascent - and various types of waist-high grasses and sedges all the way up and down Maol Ban (17E). Getting lost and wandering in circles on Beinn Chreagach (17E) in mist and rain, when the GPS packed in with water in it, and the compass was useless due to wide magnetic variation, is another story.
