My interest in Marilyns began... as a combination of my husband Richard's enthusiasm, a lifelong joy in walking outdoors and hearing about RHB on a last Corbett event in the 1990s.
My favourite Marilyns are... ones with great views, a few friends, dry, warm clear weather and some sort of path.
My least favourite Marilyns are... ones with felled forests, bog, no paths and midges.
Do I keep Marilyn bagging a secret? My friends all know about Marilyns and think I am slightly odd. My delay in entering them onto the hill-bagging website is only because I had not got round to it, but now I have I am converted; it makes keeping track of hills easy and I find seeing them plotted on a map motivating of itself.
I... have also climbed 169 world Ultras (P1500s) and am working on European highpoints. I am passionate about the NHS and I am an NHS manager by training.
