Meet some new members:

John Speakman (643)

My interest in Marilyns began... when I read the RHB book.

My favourite Marilyn is... Blabheinn, for its rugged character and for its marvellous summit views.

My least favourite Marilyns are... ones such as Craigowl Hill, Snaefell or The Cairnwell, which are disfigured by telecommunications junk.

Do I keep Marilyn bagging a secret? No, but I do wish that the list had a less frivolous name. It always provokes a snigger from the uninitiated when I say I am just going to bag a wee Marilyn.

I... speak fluent French from having worked for 19 years (1983-2002) in the Midi. I have brought several groups of French walkers over to Scotland and introduced them to the Munros - one of them can now claim to have done the ten highest. Also, I maintain a detailed record of all my hillwalking going back to 1971.
