Baglogs: Porch Parade:

Porch Parade: Peter Shaw, Edinburgh (600)

I had lost my database, so it was only after I came back from an eventful weekend and counted up in the book that I realised I had made the 600... We left Edinburgh at 7.30pm, and under a fullish moon and clear skies we rounded Loch Eil. The summit of Stob Coire a'Chearcaill (18B) in moonlight at 12.20am was fantastic. We drove round to Garbh Bheinn and camped, and were away by 9 a.m. heading for Pinnacle Ridge, reaching the summit just after midday in wonderful weather. We headed up the other side of the glen to Fuar Bheinn and Creach Bheinn, watched a couple of stags fighting in the corrie on the way down to Glen Tarbert, and hitched back to the tent in the dark. The next day on Beinn Resipol (which turned out to be the 600th) was lovely again, and we met the first person seen on the hills all weekend, a Dutchman walking from Mull to Glen Shiel on his way to Resourie bothy. Rather a busy Corbett weekend, but with two kids at home and not much free time, I tend to go mad when I get out. I aim to finish my Corbetts, but I am still doing the lower hills when I can.
