The bagging year of 2015 got off to good a start with a 2 January ascent of Cnap Cruinn in Glen Spean. I was joined by Mark and Rory as we attempted to sober up a wee bit (did not last too long though). The following month Liz and I had a successful week's holiday in Bowness. The weather stayed mostly fair as we enjoyed days out on Old Man of Coniston, Claife Heights (with a visit to the cosy Cuckoo Brow Inn thrown in), Whitbarrow, Gummer's How and Holm Fell, as well as many other hills. In March, Liz and I enjoyed a short walk up Newtyle Hill. In May a club weekend to Inver Croft gave me an excuse to climb Bidein Clann Raonaild above Glen Docherty. I was joined by Liz and George on the hill, where we got great views north to Torridon.
After a summer in the Stubai Alps, it was back tae 'auld claes an parritch' with an ascent of Creagan a'Chaise in the Cromdale hills. In September a trip to Lakeland gave me St Sunday's Crag and Fairfield, with another visit to the Cuckoo Brow Inn, after climbing Baystones. The bagging year was rounded off in November, with An Cuaidh and Duchray Hill. The following day Liz, George and I enjoyed a wander over Moncreiffe Hill. Although a rather modest total of new hills, I did manage to get 63 hill days out, so was happy with my progress.
