We had the lowest increase in our Marilyn total for many years during 2009. There were two main reasons; spending a lot of time working on our new house and a trip to Australia. Whilst over there we did a couple of treks; the Thorsborne Trail on Hinchinbrook Island and the Fraser Island Great Walk. We particularly enjoyed the Thorsborne Trail but both were excellent. As preparation for the trip we did a fair bit of backpacking in the Highlands. A particular highlight was the walk from Camas-luinie at Easter when we climbed Aonach Buidhe, Carn na Breabaig and An Cruachan, the most remote Graham.
