Islands were again the stars in 2006 (how I appreciate those who organise boats for us). Muldoanich had been in my sights for decades, as it was a landmark when we used to cross the Minch in my sailing days. I was likewise thrilled to visit Mingulay, while Taransay was exciting as we found lots of rare plants. A couple of trips to the Lake District provided happy days of multiple ticking, as did the Moel (mole?) hills of Offa's Dyke; definitely user-friendly after days on typical Scottish tussock. But in 2007 it's on to a new list - after re-reading Marhofn I'm going in for the dating game; anyone fancy a hill in the third week of November? I've got several gaps then.
