Another year whizzes by and my annual Marilyn total seems in terminal decline; from +234 in 2002 to +69 in 2003 and just +19 last year. Yet these 19 were hard won with long journeys up the A74 and A9, taking in the remaining Arran Marilyns and an exciting walk on Hoy. Some remedial plans have been formed, with trips to Islay, Jura and Skye. Still, the year did have its compensations. I got married to Tove, and we managed the summit of Mount Kinabalu for a spectacular sunrise on our honeymoon. Other than wedding plans and decorating duties, the walking focused on Hewitts (two to go) and Nuttalls (six to go).
