My interest in Marilyns began... when I realised you are never very far away from one, if you are looking for an excuse to go for a hill walk.
My favourite Marilyns are... all of them. Although some Marilyns are obviously more attractive than others, I do not really have one favourite. I work on the principle that every hill is worth climbing.
Do I keep Marilyn bagging a secret? I am proud of my interest in climbing Marilyns and always try to encourage others to join me.
I... am Munroist 690 and am the Scottish Mountaineering Club's Clerk of the List, making steady progress towards a Full House. Much of my hill-going has been devoted to climbing and mountaineering, and I am a member of the Alpine Club and the Himalayan Club. I am a retired biology teacher and, depending on weather and season, I am involved in ski-touring, sea-kayaking and cycling.
