Cellar Field:

Iain Cameron, Bristol (166)

The long road through the cellar field goes ever on it seems, but this year it took in a nice variety of areas on the way; north, south and west Wales, Lancashire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, and I broke my duck in the Southern Uplands. With illness robbing me of six months bagging I didn't get going until May, but managed a nice round 30 which included two five-fors. The sublime and ridiculous side of this game was highlighted when a lovely morning lazing over Caer Caradoc was followed by a sweaty afternoon spent seeking out the dubious delights of View Edge and Hegdon Hill (38).

I had a surprisingly non-GOML day when I took my dog up Ward's Stone (36) despite the numerous signs warning me not to (well, I couldn't leave him sitting in the car after putting my boots on), even though I bumped into a shepherd up on top, and some other 4x4 chap on the way down. I also revisited some old teenage haunts round the 'Duntelchaig 4' (9B) and got a vista of Ben Nevis to An Teallach from the wee Yeaman An Leacainn on a fine day outside Inverness.

Keep the fires going in the Hall - I may still be some time getting there.
