Baglogs:

David Rawden (+0=408)

As I did not get to Scotland in 2012 I did not add to my Marilyn bag, though I did do Botley Hill's revised grid ref.

The furthest north I reached was Cromer. Still, a holiday in East Anglia enabled me to visit the most easterly point of mainland Britain to complete the quartet of the most north, east, west and south points.

I have concentrated on the non-Marilyn Humps of the south and Midlands. Most enjoyable were Holmbury and Kithurst Hills, Robins Wood Hill and Rhosilli Down and the other Gower ones.

There were some WTRWTEs - were they really worth the effort? For example, Ashley Hill and Falland Hill, though the latter was compensated for by a visit to nearby Tyntesfield National Trust site. Clipper Down was most uninspiring and but for the advice on the hill-bagging website I would have missed the trig, covered by scrap metal, at the corner of a small wood. Much more enjoyable was a walk up Ivinghoe Beacon afterwards.

If the 2013 weather is better than last year and if I am not plagued by back trouble again I should soon be able to complete the Humps in region 42 and do most of 39 and 41.
