Only two trips to Scotland: my usual long weekend in March and a week on Islay for the AGM. The paltry addition of just ten Marilyns was due to my wife's employers choosing to behave ridiculously in my opinion, which does not count. Actually, they were perfectly justified in their bullying and unjust behaviour, because they are the managers and are therefore, by definition, always right, however illogical and contradictory their thought processes may appear. Enough of the ranting and self pity. Maybe 2013 will be better.
The Scottish hills I was able to visit were most enjoyable, especially Bidean nam Bian in thick mist in March, and the Islay hills complete with a sea eagle over Sgarbh Breac, and the driest conditions imaginable. Since then I have had to make do with the occasional repeat Marilyn and even a Hump or two, such as the worthwhile Skipton Moor. Shetland here we come.
