Baglogs:

Peter Simpson (+11=1284)

This was not a very productive year in terms of new Marilyns but I had a great year on the hills in 2010. We now spend much of our time in Turkey, where I have had lots of great days out; brilliant weather and no other people except shepherds and scary dogs. I have also been trekking in the Tatras and around some extinct volcanoes in Kamchatka.

Most of the months I spent in the UK suffered from the wintry weather, which might have been lovely on the hills but was not conducive to travel. I did eventually have a fantastic day in Assynt in August after waiting a whole week for a dry one. Three of us did the full traverse of Stac Pollaidh, Cul Mor, Cul Beag, Suilven, Canisp, Breabag, Ben More Assynt, Glas Bheinn and the Quinag summits in 24 hours, all in excellent weather. It was one my the best hill days ever, but no new Marilyns.
