Baglogs:

Bob Taylor (+39=696)

After four months without any new hills, my first new Marilyn of 2010 was Beinn an t-Sidhein from Strathyre. Two weeks holiday in spring ended at the Ullapool dinner. The first week was spent in the far north, with poor weather reducing my opportunities for repeating the high summits. However, I did manage to advance my total with a few lower Marilyns.

I thought I had marked a week in August with a double Bilbo on Meall a'Chrathaidh (679) and Carn Mhic an Toisich (680), only to later find that the latter summit had shrunk by two metres.

The highlight of the year was my last day as a 40-something, with six Munros from Creag Leacach to Carn an Tuirc bagged under clear blue skies with a good covering of snow. My birthday was rewarded with the discovery of a track to the summit of Craiglich, with another on Cairn William the following day.

My final new summit of the year was The Wiss. On the way up from Tibbie Shiels Inn I passed a large sign erected by Selkirkshire County Council, which ceased to exist in 1975, warning of a dangerous bridge ahead. This suggests that the track is a vehicular right of way. Have any baggers driven up this track to reduce the climb?
