After only managing one new Marilyn in 2008, I had a much better year. I am now focussing on completing the Grahams, which comprised 21 of my 24 new hills. There were a few memorable days and a few memorably awful ones. Meall a'Chaorainn up Strath Vaich managed to be criminally steep and criminally boggy, sometimes both at the same time. Beinn Ruadh above Loch Eck is a good viewpoint, but we picked a bad way up. The best way from Inverchapel is to get as high as possible on the forest trail north of the burn and to go up left of the fence just before the viewpoint. It's rough going but trust me, it's better than what lurks inside the fence.
