I used a visit to Hereford in early January to bag Burton Hill, my 300th Marilyn - halfway to the Hall at last. A week later it was just over the border for Mynydd Troed and Mynydd Llangorse. A great pair of hills, but my car got bogged down at the col between the two. There were lots of offers to tow me out but no tow ropes. Luckily, a local went out of his way and got a rope which had me free in seconds. Future plans for the year were scuppered as parental health problems and a complete career change meant that my planned trips were cancelled. I am still stuck four short of Munro completion as I managed no trips north of the border.
