The arrival of the otherwise excellent Marhofn 196 resulted in my Marilyn score decreasing by three, as a number of hills fell foul of the surveyors. Both my wife, Jean, and I had previously completed the English Marilyns but we have not yet re-completed them. This awaits a visit to Yorkshire to climb Cracoe Fell. Having entered the Hall of Fame in 2006, my chances of reaching the Upper Hall appear slim. I have therefore set myself a new target of 500 Marilyns over 2000 feet. I have already climbed 479, so 21 assorted Corbetts and Grahams will get me there. I have done 174 repeats in this category so I expect I will get to 200 repeats first. Away from the Marilyns, Jean completed the English and Welsh Hewitts, which I had done a couple of years earlier.
