The Hall of Fame - is it like Grieg's 'Hall of the Mountain King', I wondered? Well it certainly has music. I was fortunate in that I reached 600 Marilyns on the lovely island of Carna in the illustrious company of several members of Marhof, including the Chief Chanter. What a splendid welcome into the Hall - thanks to Lindsay for leading such a superb, loud chant and to Alison Wilson for leading the Marhof choir in a song. The occasion was extra special as Charles Everett also reached the magic 600. Charles, thank you for the excellent Christmas pudding.
The other discovery I made about the Hall of Fame is that it is occupied by many mad, interesting, lovely fellow baggers. Despite trying to deny it for many years, I acknowledged that weekend that 'I am a bagger'. This fact was proclaimed loudly in front of witnesses on Beinn Bhreac, near Eilean Shona.
