We bumped into Bert Barnett on Meall Blair (Loch Arkaig) on 12 April 2008. We chatted because we had spotted him from a distance peering intently at his GPS on top of the trig point. As we take ten-figure grid references and give them to Graham Jackson for his database, we joked to each other that he might be doing the same. It turned out, much to our surprise, that he was. At the time he asked if we were doing Marilyns, to which we said no, but that we knew people who were. He mentioned Marhofn but we didn't really know what he was talking about. How quickly things change!
