Baglogs: Cellar Field:

Baglog: Eric Hardman (+130=307)

I'm a relative newcomer to Marilyn bagging (since November 2006). Although I've been fellwalking for 48 years I didn't start listing and counting hills until 2004, when planning a continuous walk over the English Nuttalls, which I completed in 2005. The Internet and Alan Castle's Hillwalkers' Register have also greatly influenced my bagging tendencies, not to mention the wealth of lists available from the RHB group itself. Last year I concentrated a lot of my efforts in Wales, completing the Welsh 2000ft summits, a host of Deweys, and of course over 100 new Marilyns, as well as 25 in England. One of the best things about Marilyns (especially at my time of life) is the flexibility afforded by the range of heights and distances involved, with options according to weather conditions, especially on showery days. Funnily enough my wettest experience of last summer was wading through a soaking waist-high field margin to reach the trig point on Brandy Hill.
