Highlights of the year were mainly on Corbetts. In March I enjoyed probably the best weather of the year on Beinn Maol Chaluim (Glen Coe), and I had great views in May from Sail Mhor and Breabag in the north-west Highlands. My most remote hills were Beinn a'Chaisgein Mor, which I climbed for the Macmillan Cancer Care attempt on all the Corbetts, and Carn Ban (15A). On the latter expedition I had an axle failure on my mountain bike just after I set out on the return ride. Fortunately, it wasn't a catastrophic failure, otherwise I would have had two or three extra hours on an already very long day.
