We finally got round to region 40 in September 2005. Watch Croft was a definite highlight, combined with an excellent stretch of the coast path. Wouldn't be sorry if we never saw Hensbarrow Beacon or Carnmenellis again (no access problems though). On 3 September 2006 we climbed Arnside Knott, bringing our total to 315 (0-0-136-179). This hill is a classic Marilyn; too low for other lists, but with excellent views from the top, and therefore a happy accident to finish England there. Perhaps we can claim the lowest total to include an English completion. We are still on course for 0-5-156-179.
