Baglog: Andrew Templeton (+27=879)
A hugely varied year, with 30 repeat Munros and Corbetts plus seven new Irish Marilyns on top of the 27. Highlights of 2006:
- The blond angel at Shenavall whose gift of custard and flapjacks restored life after a round of Fisherfield Munros.
- Aran Fawddwy, which was the breezy but bright highlight of a dreadfully wet week in Wales.
- The summit of Carnan on Mingulay; a lifetime ambition.
- A long cycle in to Culra for the hugely enjoyable ascent of Geal Charn via Lancet Edge.
- A rare day of utter perfection in Mayo for Barrclashcame, and another in the Mournes for the trek along the wall from Muck to Meelbeg and Bearnagh.
- Defying seven-feet tall bracken and dense brambles to reach the top of Craig of Monievreckie (1C) with son Calum.
