Kevin Palmer: Approaching from the minor road on the west of the hill, you come to a sharp turn in the road with a large sign for Witherslack Hall (SD437859). A few metres down the track there are several designated parking spaces. Thanks to Brent Lynam for telling me about this. There is also a nice colour leaflet available from nearby tourist offices describing Whitbarrow and showing parking places and approaches.
