This year felt very light on Marilyns, mainly due to not doing any for five months from June to October. Two months of this was spent on sabbatical in the USA, where I managed to bag three state high points (PA, MD, WV). None were very exciting - if you don't like trees then stay away from the Alleghenies. In between starting on Dumyat on new year's day and finishing on Beinn na Gainimh on new year's eve, I managed to finish the New Donalds (Blackcraig Hill on Good Friday), push England over 150, Wales over 100, and finish regions 29, 39 and 42. Best walk was a glorious sunny traverse of the Rum Cuillin in May (made even better by the contrast with the next day when we could hardly stand up on Orval). Worst was Crowborough, down to the fag-end of England. I don't think bagging by streetlight will catch on somehow.
